Hektar Real Estate Investment Trust ("Hektar Reit") Public Unitholding Spread

Reference is made to the announcement dated 22 February 2008.
Hektar Asset Management Sdn Bhd ("Hektar AM") wishes to notify that Hektar REIT has yet to meet its public unitholding spread requirement pursuant to paragraph 8.15(1) of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad's Listing Requirements. Hektar REIT's public unitholding spread as at 29 February 2008 was 25.84% in the hands of 420 public unitholders holding not less than 100 units each.
At the same time, Hektar AM also wishes to inform that Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad had on 5 March 2008 granted Hektar AM an extension of time of three (3) months until 31 May 2008 for Hektar REIT to comply with the public unitholding spread requirement.
Hektar AM will continue its active promotion of Hektar REIT to the public via its various activities - investment roadshows, conferences, presentations to analysts and investors and press-related activities.
