The Board of Directors ("Board') of Hektar Asset Management Sdn Bhd, being the management company ("Manager") of Hektar Real Estate Investment Trust, wishes to announce that the Manager has received approval from the Securities Commission Malaysia vide their letter dated 17 March 2016 for the appointment of Dato' Hisham Bin Othman to succeed Dato' Jaafar Bin Abdul Hamid who will resign as CEO on 1 May 2016. Dato' Hisham's appointment will be effective 1 May 2016.                        .

Dato' Jaafar Bin Abdul Hamid will be re-designated as Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman on 1 May 2016.

The Manager will make the relevant announcements on the changes in the composition of the Board in accordance with the requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad at the material time.
